Coach Homes III Members,
On Thursday June 4th, 2020, during the Special Board of Directors meeting the Coach Homes III Board of Directors acted in regard to the issue of continuing with flood insurance coverage for the exterior of the buildings.
The Board acted to discontinue future purchase of flood insurance coverage. The Board came to their decision after a year of considerations of disclosures, debate, research, and eventual authoritative verification of FEMA’s designation of Flood Zone X for the geographic area in which Coach Home III’s building are built upon. Explanation of said FEMA designation was provided by Manatee County Government, providing clarification as to why there is a difference in their map designation and FEMA’s designation. This letter spoke to FEMA’s LOMR that was provided to the Association as proof of flood zone designation. Both the FEMA LOMR and the County correspondence is attached to this notification.
Therefore, existing flood insurance policies for the exterior of buildings will discontinue on the dates as listed below:
